![]() ![]() ![]() Now, There is on PWM computers, where you gotta set it from A0 to F9 (basically, numbers, A1, A2, A3, A4, Etc) This is the fan speed, if your running a laptop, setting it to a high number, and hitting R, will tell you your max fan speed, (if its a high number like 100,000, the fan shouldn't run that fast, the fan has limiter on its speed. Green: (can be many different things, but, it is the fan speed) 0- infiniti, PWM= A0-F9 I've heard the fans at full speed and they should be there more often when it is required.(if the image doesn't load: http //index.php?page=image&id=15560)īasically, Is the throttle amount, if you suspect the throttle to be on (processor slown down) Check this settingīasically, if you want the system to automatically apply a throttle when the system gets hot, if its a desktop, you should probably clean your fans, But, if you dont want throttle, turn this off. I know some people complain of noisy fans etc, this is not the same thing. This will ONLY be useful for your company AND your community. ![]() The motherboard control of fan speed is TOO CLUNKY and is making computers too hot. Just an allowance on choosing the parameter. Please have one of your software engineers create a bios update that allows this ability immediately, within one week.Īgain - WITH DELL APPROVED SPECS, so the fan speeds wont be overclocked or underclocked. Otherwise you will be replacing more units. It waits too long to cool down, Or doesn't even go into full fan speed!! You are shooting yourself in the foot Dell. My laptop is getting too hot, it is absolute NONSENSE to restrict this ability. ![]() I specifically need to increase my fan speed EARLIER (not exceeding dell specs) so that the computer will stay cool. Can be a simple control utilizing Dell approved specs. There NEEDS to be a utility or BIOS update to ALLOW Fan control on Dell xps 15, at the very least to Allow it to go into high performance fan speeds EARLIER. ![]()
